“Moul Lkelb” Soon to Be Broadcast in Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier

Free screenings of short films with Ilias El Faris and Kamal Lazraq

A street vendor hastily packs up his stand of pirated DVDs. Young people take their places in an abandoned amusement park. A man desperately seeks his dog, sinking alone into the night towards the threatening low ground. Roujoula, Le Park and Moul Lkelb: three street corners, three short films by young authors in the city of Casablanca.

A fascinating, multiple and sometimes hostile territory, the city is the scene of attempts at staging that are intimately linked to the places that give rise to them. From disillusioned comedy to night thrillers, bathed in a unique light, the three films sketch out the contours of the same urban reality, vibrant and raw. Short fragments, trajectories both daily and extraordinary, they make us feel the violent confrontation with the world of characters in search of justice, meaning, or security.

Selected and awarded in numerous festivals, these three short films have toured the world. We have chosen to broadcast them today for the public in Casablanca, Tangier and Marrakech.
