Pinto Gives Blankets to Children on the Outskirts of Marrakech

Last winter, Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto visited the Aghbalou educational facility on the outskirts of Marrakech, where he launched his campaign of solidarity with the poor and needy, a campaign covered by the Moroccan journalist Simo Benbachir, whom Pinto elected to serve as ambassador and media representative for his humanitarian initiative in Morocco.

The rabbi distributed a large number of blankets to students at a middle school in Aghbalou before going to “Esswas village” Ait Ourir in the outskirts of Marrakech, where he also carried out the same operation.

This charitable initiative has been highly appreciated by the heads of educational institutions in the region, as well as by children, students and the population living in these areas where temperatures drop considerably in autumn and winter.

It is also planned that the rabbi will continue this humanitarian campaign in other cities.

It should be noted that Pinto is of Moroccan origin. he comes from the dynasty of Rabbi Haim Pinto, whose “miracles” are known. His origins are from Essaouira, where his great-grandfather is buried and whose tomb has become a sanctuary for all Moroccan Jews around the world.

Pinto is the founder of several Torah schools in Israel, France, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, Argentina, and Morocco.

Recently, and in the presence of representatives of the Jewish community in Morocco and public and local authorities, Pinto was appointed President of the Rabbinical Court, Chief Rabbi of Morocco, at the Beth El Synagogue in Casablanca.
