HM the King Grants His Exceptional Pardon to 201 African Prisoners Sentenced by the Kingdom’s Various Courts

“His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, may god perpetuate his glory, has granted His exceptional royal pardon to a group of African prisoners, sentenced by the various courts of the Kingdom. These include 201 African prisoners.

This honorable grace is in line with His Majesty’s humane approach, inspired by the clemency and mercy of his grandfather the Prophet Mohammed – May Allah’s greetings and blessings be upon him – for humanitarian reasons for the benefit of elderly or sick prisoners. This royal pardon is also an encouragement to those who have shown good conduct and good behavior during the period of execution of the sentence imposed, in accordance with the laws and standards in force, and who have responded favorably to rehabilitation and reintegration programs.

Accordingly, all necessary measures have been taken to facilitate their return to their countries.

May God grant glory and greatness to His Majesty the King, fulfill the blessings of his health, and preserve His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and all members of the Royal Family”.
