The Daily Sport: “Hakimi Doesn’t Want to Talk about Real Madrid”

Achraf Hakimi is enjoying happy days at Borussia Dortmund and may not feel like returning to Madrid this summer. At least that’s what a Spanish media believes.

The Catalan media outlet Sport claims that Achraf Hakimi, who is happy at Borussia Dortmund, “doesn’t want to talk about Real Madrid”, his home club where he is expected to return this summer after a two-year loan period in Germany.

“He knows that Dani Carvajal is untouchable and doesn’t want to come back to replace the Spanish international,” the media outlet added. The versatile Atlas Lions full-back was in a similar situation in 2017-2018 (nine games played in La Liga and two in the Champions League). The player does not want to return to Madrid to become “a luxury replacement” for Carvajal, according to the Catalan daily.

“Achraf is going through a dream moment at Borussia Dortmund where he has become a key player,” the newspaper continued.

Since arriving in Germany, Hakimi has played in 51 matches (eight goals and 13 assists). He finished runners-up in the German championship last season and won the Supercup. He scored four of Dortmund’s eight goals in the Champions League this season.

Regardless of what Sport think, Achraf Hakimi is one of the best in his position today and can perfectly replace Carvajal.
