Aziz Saad-Allah: The Public’s Beloved

Aziz Saad-Allah is one of the most adored artists by the Moroccan public who regularly follow his distinguished productions, especially those he makes with his wife, the actress Khadija Assad. His artistic journey began in the theater, just after finishing his training at the Municipal Theater Institute. He shone in many plays such as “Saadak Ya Massoud”, “Saroukh Amezmiz”, “Kari Hanko”, “Annakhwa Al lakhwa”, “Kosta, ya watan”, etc. He has also performed in many other plays.

Aziz Saad-Allah was introduced to theater by the well-known playwright Tayeb Seddiki, who welcomed him into the municipal theater company just after graduation. He benefited greatly from his close relationship with Seddiki, before founding his own theater company, “Theatre 80”, with his wife, Khadija Assad, with whom he formed a successful duo. He was one of the most serious competitors of the great actors of this beautiful era, such as Mohammed Alaoui, Mohammad Al Khalafi, Mostafa Dassoukine, Mustafa Zaari, Thouraya Jabrane, Naima Lamacharki, Mohammad Belkas, Abdeljabbar Lawazir, Souad Saber Hammadi Ammour, Aziz Maohoub, Mohammed Miftah, Salah-Eddine Benmoussa, etc..

In the early 1970s, Aziz Saad-Allah became very active in television, a field in which he made a name for himself among the Moroccan public, thanks to the many comic roles that marked the history of the small screen in Morocco, including “Télé 3”, “Caricature”, “She and him”, “Mawaqif”, etc., in addition to the successful Ramadan series “Lalla Fatima” and “Bent Biladi”.

For the cinema, he acted in important films such as “The Postman”, “The Marriage of Others”, “Bidawa” and “Number one”. He also directed a film entitled “Zaman al irhab”.

Aziz Saad-Allah was born in Derb Sultan in 1950 in Casablanca, the city where he has always lived, before emigrating to Canada with his wife and children. For a few years, he presented numerous shows for the benefit of the Moroccan community living in Canada and the United States, before returning to Morocco again and opening a restaurant in the Bouskoura region, which today serves as a meeting place for many artists and their fans.
