The Rabbinical High Court of the Kingdom has called on the Jewish community to respect the rules and preventive measures taken by each of the countries in which it is residing in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
“Showing wisdom in submitting to national decisions taken in the face of this global pandemic is necessary and fundamental to contain the spread of the virus,” said Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, President of the Rabbinical High Court, in a statement.
Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto believes it is essential not to allow oneself to become overwhelmed by the virus, to be civic-minded and to remain vigilant during these periods of social distancing and confinement, considering it important to remain kind to others while respecting the rules of confinement, for the safety of us all.
He also praised the high royal instructions that will ensure “the successful conclusion of this unprecedented health crisis and the preservation of the Moroccan people who are precious to us”.
“The Kingdom of Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI May God assist him, is the object of my prayers. We stand beside His Majesty and pray to God with strength, to accompany him in this ordeal in serenity,” he insists.
The President of the Rabbinical High Court also expresses his support for the members of the Moroccan Jewish community who tested positive with Covid-19.
