Human Rights Activists Send Protest Letter to the French President

The Moroccan League for Citizenship and Human Rights sent a message of protest to the French president through its ambassador in Rabat, denouncing the racist statement towards the African continent, made by Jean-Paul Mira, head of the intensive care unit at the Cochin hospital in Paris, on the French channel LCI, according to which the Coronavirus vaccine will have to be tested on the populations of the African continent, just as AIDS vaccine was tested on prostitutes in Africa.

The league called on the French state to disclose all medical experiments to which African people are subjected to.

According to a press release circulated on the media, the league has contacted the president of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights as the official African body, to ask him to follow up on this matter and conduct the necessary investigations. It also called on him to refer the matter to the African Union as a political body, so that the latter can take steps to condemn such racist policies.

The League also decided to file a complaint with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights asking it to investigate these racist practices in the field of medical experiments on human beings.

According to the same press release, the league also asked the President of the European Commission, in his role as guarantor of the treaties, to verify France’s compliance with European laws and treaties relating to racism and medical experiments on human beings and the implementation of legal penalties against offenders, bringing them before the European Court of Justice, if necessary.
