After several months of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Agadir Al Massira Airport is about to reopen its doors and welcome travelers once again.
A number of measures and provisions have been put in place by the National Airports Office (ONDA) to ensure a resumption of activities under the best conditions for the Kingdom’s various airport infrastructures. The priority is to protect all airport users, including staff and passengers, and to restore confidence in this activity.
Within this framework, the ONDA promises its users a healthy journey in all the Moroccan airports, through a framework set up on three major themes, namely airport operation and flow management, awareness raising and information, in addition to cleaning and disinfection.
“On the horizon of a forthcoming reopening of air traffic at the Agadir-Al Massira airport, a series of measures has been put in place to protect the health security of passengers and staff,” said the head of the airport operation department, Amina Aglif.
These measures are part of the recovery plan put in place by the ONDA so that national airports can resume service, she said, adding that the planned measures are based on risk management, in accordance with the guidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Airport Council International (ACI) Guidelines.
It should be noted that Agadir Al Massira airport passed the 2 million passenger mark for the first time in December 2019. With this figure, it is ranked 3rd airport in the Kingdom in terms of passenger traffic.
