Coronavirus: 181 New Positive Cases in Morocco, the Regions Concerned

Here are the main points of the statement made Friday by the head of the department of epidemic diseases at the Directorate of Epidemiology under the Ministry of Health, Hind Ezzine, on the epidemiological situation of Coronavirus in Morocco in 24 hours.

– 181 new cases of Coronavirus infection.

– 395 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours.

– 16,726 cases registered in the Kingdom since the first reported case in March.

– 14,360 people fully recovered, a cure rate of 86%.

– 264 deaths, a death rate of 1.6%.

– The number of contacts now totals 93,506, of whom 14,891 are still under medical monitoring.

– 956,678 cases excluded after negative test results.

– 2,102 active cases, of which 34 in intensive care and 9 intubated.

– 57 contaminations have been recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (33 in Tangier, 2 in Ouezzane, 1 in Chefchaouen, 1 in Tetouan, 3 in Al-Hoceima, 3 in M’diq and 14 in Fahs Anjra), 59 in the Fez-Meknes region (52 in Fez, 3 in Taza, 2 in Moulay Yaacoub, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in Taounate), 23 in Casablanca-Settat (20 in Casablanca, 2 in Settat and 1 in El Jadida), 22 in Marrakech-Safi (12 in Marrakech, 8 in Safi and 2 in Al-Haouz), 13 in the Oriental (1 in Jerrada and 12 in Oujda), 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (1 in Témara and 1 in Salé), 3 in Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab (all in Dakhla), one case in Guelmim-Oued Noun registered in Tan-tan, and another case in Draa-Tafilalet (Errachidia), while the other regions registered no new cases.
