Rabbi Pinto Puts an End to the Rumors

Rabbi Pinto, President of the Rabbinical Court of Casablanca, has still not recovered from the attack he suffered in recent weeks, which deteriorated his health. The Jewish community in Morocco is therefore concerned about the Rabbi.

However, Rabbi Pinto is resisting the pain and continues to attend religious ceremonies, including the circumcision ceremony he held a few days ago, during which he blessed the son of a Moroccan Jewish family, before fainting just afterwards and receiving first aid while waiting for the doctor to arrive.

During the “Brit Milah” (circumcision) ceremony, Rabbi Pinto felt dizzy and very weak before fainting. It took many hours for his doctor to stabilize his condition.

Rabbi Pinto has had an infection for about two weeks, which has left him bedridden, raising fears that all of his vital functions may have collapsed. He was transferred to a hospital in Marrakech, in poor health, where he underwent extensive tests and intensive medical care, after having had a bacterial infection during a visit to Meknes. The tests showed that the infection had nothing to do with Covid-19.

Rabbi Pinto, who is only 47 years old, has been suffering for years from cancer, forcing him to travel regularly to the United States for treatment. But despite the illness and the pain, Rabbi Pinto continues to give his lessons, which he publishes on social networks, just as he answers all the questions asked by his disciples.

Rabbi Pinto asks members of the Jewish community in Morocco and around the world to pray to Hashem (God) to relieve his pain and give him health and well-being.
