Rabbi Pinto Announces the Engagement of his Son Rabbi Yoël

Moroccan Chief Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto announced last Tuesday evening the engagement of his eldest son, who is the grandson of Baba Mayer and Baba Sali, Rabbi Yoël Pinto. He is engaged to a young French woman from a large family of Moroccan origin.

The Rabbi, president of the Hebrew court of Casablanca, announced the good news during a religious lesson he preached in Morocco, which he broadcast live on his pages on social networks. He said: “We are very happy today to announce the engagement of our son Yoel to a young girl from a good family.”

Immediately after this announcement, Rabbi Pinto’s followers congratulated him and wished him and his son all the best, and wrote: “We offer our sincere congratulations, mazel tov, to our master Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yossef Pinto and his son Yoel Moche Raphael Pinto on the occasion of his engagement to a young lady of a noble family. We hope from the bottom of our hearts that God will help them to build a happy home, based on the values of the Torah, the fear of God, and we pray that he will bless them”.

Rabbi Pinto stated during the same lesson that the two families met 8 days ago, explaining: “The encounters began on the day our son celebrated his twentieth birthday and ended today (in reference to the day of the announcement of the engagement). This is great news for all the Shuva Israel Institutes, we pray that happiness will invade their hearts and that God will bless them”.

The fiancee, whose father is a businessman, resides in Paris and is of Moroccan origin.

Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto was born in September 1973. He is a recognized professor of the Kabbalah, and one of the richest rabbis in Israel. He is the grandson of Moroccan Rabbi Haïm Pinto, who is buried in Essaouira and is visited by Jews from all over the world. On his mother’s side, Rabbi Pinto is the grandson of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira, known as Baba Sali. Their Rabbinic heritage is known for their extensive knowledge, their religious and educational backgrounds and their ability to perform miracles.
