State of health emergency: Agadir authorities close down coffee shops

The authorities of the city of Agadir have decided to close down some cafés that have allegedly violated the conditions of the state of health emergency.

According to a source in La press marocaine, four cafés continued to work after the closing time set by the authorities as part of preventive measures to stem the risk of the spread of the coronavirus.

The source states that the cafés affected by the decision had also failed to comply with the social distancing measures imposed by the authorities.

As a reminder, last week the authorities in Agadir set the closing hours for most shopping centres, shops, cafés and restaurants at 10pm following the upsurge of covid-19 cases in the city.
