Coronavirus. Morocco: the results of the last 24 hours (new cases, deaths, vaccinated…)

A total of 4,310 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection and 4,926 recoveries were recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said Saturday.

The number of first-time vaccinations is 19,110,905, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) is 15,529,630, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation Covid-19.

The new report brings the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco in March 2020 to 881,042. The number of recovered people has risen to 818,596, representing a cure rate of 93%.

New infections were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.408), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (950), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (469), Oriental (427), Marrakech-Safi (232), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (206), Fès-Meknès (163), Souss-Massa (142), Guelmim-Oued Noun (96), Drâa-Tafilalet (93), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (66) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (58).

As for deaths, their total number rose to 12.993 (case fatality 1.5%), with 70 new cases recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (16), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (13), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (9), l’Oriental (7), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (7), Marrakech-Safi (6), Fès-Meknès (4), Guelmim-Oued Noun (3), Souss-Massa (2), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2) and Drâa-Tafilalet (1).

Active cases numbered 49,453, while severe or critical cases reached 2,175, 62 were placed under intubation.
