The supply of butane gas to the Moroccan market “is ensured in a regular manner”

The Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, stressed on Monday in Rabat that the supply of butane gas to the national market is ensured in a regular manner and under the best conditions.

In response to an oral question to the House of Representatives on the supply of butane gas to the national market, presented by the Authenticity and Modernity group, Mrs. Benali said that the national market is supplied on a regular basis and in the best conditions, thanks to 16 importing companies operating in the various ports of the Kingdom.

The minister added that the majority of the quantities of butane gas imported come from Europe and North America (more than 80%), noting that the filling operation of 3 kg, 6 kg and 12 kg cylinders is carried out in 130 centers, while the distribution is ensured by 630 distributors.

The national market has nearly 68 million gas cylinders, Benali said.
