Omicron: Moroccan universities (re)switch to distance learning

The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation has sent a circular to university presidents calling on them to organise examinations at a distance or to postpone them.

Abdellatif Miraoui insists on strict compliance with anti-Covid health standards in the event that remote examinations are not possible.

It also calls on university officials to hold all cultural and scientific meetings and events remotely. This is in view of the epidemiological situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially after the registration of 28 cases of the Omicron variant.
