Rabat: cafés and restaurants require vaccination pass

Noureddine El Harrak said that the Rabat authorities have given instructions to the owners of cafes and restaurants to check the vaccination passes of their customers.

The president of the national association of café and restaurant owners assured Le Site info that this decision was taken following the significant increase in cases of covid-19 in Morocco. “We have received orders to reinforce controls in our establishments. Any customer who does not have a vaccination pass is not allowed to enter the café or restaurant,” El Harrak said.

Moreover, he notes, several establishments have had to close as a sanction for not respecting the authorities’ instructions, while others have received warnings.

“We are preparing to hold a meeting to discuss this issue. These measures only concern Rabat, for the time being,” says our source.
