Achraf Hakimi Back at Real Madrid? He Answers

Moroccan international Ashraf Hakimi, who is on loan from Real Madrid to Borussia Dortmund until next June, stressed that “all possibilities remain open” and that a decision will be taken at the end of the loan.

“The loan contract stipulates a return to Real Madrid at the end of June. All I want is to play,” Hakimi told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser after Tuesday evening’s match between his team and PSG in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Moroccan international’s team-mates.

“I want to keep playing and that’s what I’m doing right now in Dortmund,” said Hakimi, a starter and one of the German team’s goalscorers.

According to Spanish sports media, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane intends to have Hakimi back for next year after his spectacular Bundesliga performance with Dortmund.

The Moroccan international has scored seven goals in 35 games in all competitions with Dortmund since the start of the season.
