The Details of Nassir Bourita’s Discussions with a Senior U.S. Official

Last Friday, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, spoke on the phone with David Hale, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

Both sides discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America, as well as common interest issues in Africa and the Maghreb, including the Libyan file.

The delegations of the Libyan High Council of State and the Tobruk Parliament had announced on Thursday in Bouznika a comprehensive agreement on the criteria and transparent and objective mechanisms to occupy sovereignty positions.

It was also agreed to continue the dialogue and resume meetings over the last week of this month in order to complete the necessary measures to ensure the implementation and activation of this agreement.
