A famous Saudi model, Eleen Suliman, generated a huge backlash on social networks after she posted a video in which she put on makeup while listening to the Quran.
The 25-year-old Dubai-based blogger and fashionista shared a video posted on her snapchat while she was putting makeup on while listening to Al-Baqarah. In contrast to what is on social network today, other famous social network stars put makeup on while listening to Arabic or foreign popular music.
Some enjoyed this moment of religious devotion, while others found it bizarre and considered it a mockery of the Quran.
