He is continuing his professional rise within the BNP Paribas group. Indeed, Karim Belhassan has just been appointed Chief Operating Officer in charge of the functional businesses of the Moroccan subsidiary of the French financial services giant. This appointment will be effective as of next January, subject to validation by Bank Al-Maghrib.
Karim Belhassan has more than twenty years of experience within the BNP Paribas Group. He has spent the vast majority of his career in Switzerland. Prior to his appointment at BMCI, he was Chief Operating Officer Compliance at BNP Paribas (Switzerland). His banking background includes a managerial career in investment banking and in the COO’s area of Switzerland (CIB business lines, Operations & Organisation, Permanent Control) before joining Compliance as COO.
His many years of experience cover the areas of operations management, the management of large-scale transformation projects, strategy and budget management and the supervision of control systems. Karim Belhassan is, among others, a graduate of the University of Paris 8 (DESS Foreign Trade) and of the IAE of the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (Master of Finance & Accounting).
