Frenchman Bouygues to renovate Dakhla airport

It is the subsidiary of the French group Bouygues, les Grands Travaux Routiers (GTR), which won the contract for the modernisation of Dakhla airport on 16 December last, after the call for tenders launched by the National Airports Office (ONDA) at the end of October, the Africa Intelligence site reported.

Les Grands Travaux Routiers (GTR), through Colas Maroc, has won the contract to modernise Dakhla airport, worth more than 107 million DH, reports the French site Africa Intelligence. As a reminder, several links are provided between Paris and Dakhla airport, notably by the low-cost company belonging to Air France KLM, Transavia, or Royal Air Maroc.

This same French subsidiary has also beaten its Moroccan competitor Mojazine for the construction of an aircraft car park at Rabat-Salé airport for MAD 26 million, reports the same source.

A choice that comes in the midst of a geopolitical upheaval underlines the media, according to which it would be an opportunity for Morocco to see France follow the step of the United States following their recognition of the Moroccan Sahara.
