Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has been named in the fifth round of Spanish league matches, according to LaLiga, the governing body of professional football in Spain.
The former Wydad of Casablanca goalkeeper was once again outstanding in Sevilla’s match against Real Sociedad last Sunday.
Bounou saved a ball from the penalty spot, allowing his team to draw 0-0. He also made 4 decisive saves during this match.
With this draw, Sevilla is 6th with 8 points from 4 games, while Real Sociedad is 4th with 10 points.
With his spectacular saves, Bounou was one of the architects of Sevilla’s strong showing in the 2020/2021 season, third in the league behind Madrid’s Atletico and Real.
