Over 20.5 million people fully vaccinated against Covid in Morocco

A total of 343,055 people have received the 3rd dose of the anti-Covid vaccine, on the 10th day of the launch of the operation, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.

The number of first-time vaccine recipients has reached 23,139,440, while the number of people who have received the second dose now stands at 20,587,049, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation Covid-19.

In addition, 581 infections with the new coronavirus and 639 recoveries were recorded during this period, bringing the total number of positive cases since March 2020 to 940,503, while recoveries are in the order of 919,713, representing a recovery rate of 97.8%.

New infections were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (246), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (198), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (34), Marrakech-Safi (24), l’Oriental (18), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (14), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (11), Fès-Meknès (10), Drâa-Tafilalet (9), Souss-Massa (8), Guelmim-Oued Noun (6) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3).

As for deaths, their total number has risen to 14,500 (lethality 1.5%), with 15 new cases recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (5), Casablanca-Settat (3), Marrakech-Safi (3), Oriental (1), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (1) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1)

Active cases numbered 6,290, while severe or serious cases managed reached 456, including 18 under intubation.
