Akhannouch pulls out all the stops for businesses

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch announced, on Thursday in Rabat, the activation of the government’s commitment to clear the arrears of value added tax (VAT) credits to private sector companies.

In a speech at the opening of the Council, Akhannouch said that as part of this government commitment, a budget of 2.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) has been mobilized to repay the arrears of VAT credits, said the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing at the end of the Government Council.

The head of government added that 1.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) will be mobilized next week and 9 MMDH before the end of April 2022, in order to allow companies, mainly small and medium-sized ones, to have significant liquidity, in a context of crisis and thus strengthen their investment and development.
