Moroccan actor Abdellatif Hilal died on Tuesday at the age of 82 after a long battle with illness.
The announcement was made by the Regional Directorate of Culture of Casablanca-Settat. “The Directorate announces with sadness the death of the artist Abdellatif Hilal. Morocco has lost an emblematic figure of Moroccan theatre and cinema. In this painful circumstance, the Management presents its sincere condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased. May God have his soul in his holy mercy and grant courage and patience to his family. We are God’s and to Him we return,” reads the official page.
The news of the death was widely shared on the Web and many Internet users expressed their grief, offering their condolences and praying for the memory of the deceased.
