In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the ministry also specified that the number of first-time vaccine recipients has reached 24,794,766, that of people who have received two doses amounts to 23,269,881, while 6,184,623 people have had three injections of the vaccine.
The new record of infections brings the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco on 2 March 2020 to 1,164,052, while the number of people who recovered has risen to 1,147,271, representing a recovery rate of 98.6%.
The new cases of infection have been recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (07), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (07), Marrakech-Safi (04), Béni Mellal- Khénifra (02), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (01) and Oriental (01).
The total number of deaths is still 16,061 (case fatality 1.4%), with zero cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
Active cases number 720, while two severe or critical cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 19. The resuscitation bed occupancy rate is 0.4%.
