According to a statement from the Moroccan police, the suspects were apprehended at a road checkpoint at the entrance of the city of Tangier, immediately after their arrival on board a public transport bus in flagrante delicto of possession of 36 iron objects of homemade manufacture, which would be used in the collective operations of immigration by escalation.
The research and investigations conducted in this case have revealed that all these candidates for illegal immigration have no identity or travel documents, and they are illegally residing in Morocco, adds the same source.
The suspects have been subjected to the judicial investigation ordered by the competent prosecutor to clarify all the circumstances surrounding this case and identify any persons involved in the organization of illegal immigration attempts in a collective manner, concludes the DGSN.
