In light of the evolution of the health situation related to Covid-19 in China, and regular and direct contacts with the Chinese side, and in order to avoid a new wave of contaminations in Morocco and all its consequences, the Moroccan authorities have decided to ban the access to the Moroccan territory of all travelers, whatever their nationality, coming from China, announced Saturday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad.
This measure will be applied from January 3, 2023 and until further notice, the ministry said in a statement, noting that “the Kingdom of Morocco has followed closely in recent weeks, the development of the pandemic Covid in China.
“This exceptional measure does not in any way affect the sincere friendship between the two peoples and the strategic partnership between the two countries and which the Kingdom remains strongly attached, “said the same source.
