In Berrechid, a young man, aged 33, suspected of intentionally setting fire to several businesses in a police station, was arrested last Thursday by members of the judicial police, according to a press release issued by the General Directorate of National Security.
Following a commercial dispute concerning the operation of a business premises, the accused set fire to the premises, causing material damage to the property of others, the source added. After the fire was reported on Monday August 28, an investigation was launched and the arsonist was identified and arrested, said the same judicial source, who added that the search carried out by the Berrechid detectives led to the seizure of a pair of espadrilles worn by the accused during the criminal act.
