Covid-19: this week’s report from Morocco

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported a total of 177 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and zero deaths in its weekly bulletin on Friday.

In its weekly bulletin on the epidemiological situation, covering the period from September 23 to 29, the Ministry also reported that 24,924,188 people had been vaccinated for the first time, 23,426,073 had received two doses, 6,886,809 had had three injections and 61,136 had received the fourth dose.

The new weekly infection figures bring the total number of infections since the first case was reported in Morocco on March 02, 2020 to 1,276,812, with a weekly positivity rate of 6.2%.

New cases of infection were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (78), Grand Casablanca-Settat (57), Souss-Massa (14), Fès-Meknès (13), Marrakech-Safi (12), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (02) and Draâ-Tafilalet (01).

The total number of deaths is still 16,297 (overall lethality 1.3%), with zero cases recorded in the last week.

There are 219 active cases, with zero severe or critical cases in the last week, for a total of zero reported cases.
