Marcel Khalifa at the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music

Lebanese singer Marcel Khalifa led a major musical evening on Sunday evening before hundreds of spectators gathered at the historic site of Bab Al Makina, as part of his participation in the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music. This audience interacted wonderfully with the singer who played Al Oud with the participation of an orchestra composed of pianists, violinists, trumpeters and percussionists.

Marcel Khalifa shared, at the beginning of his show, his joy for being part of this important festival for the second time, which has managed to preserve its identity, despite the galloping cultural globalization and the erosion of values around the world.

It should be noted that Marcel Khalifa’s songs, which has been writing since 1950, are an integral part of the Arab musical heritage, combining political commitment and pure artistic creativity.

It is also worth mentioning that the 25th edition of the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music, organized under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Kicked off on Friday evening, under the theme “Fez, at the Confluence of Cultures”, with the participation of international groups such as the world youth orchestra, José Mercé and Tomatito, Obini Bara from Cuba, etc. This edition is also characterized by the strong presence of the “Mouachchahat”, and is also going to feature Sami Yusuf and Carlos Nuñez.
