Chef Youssef Nafaa has opened Mia Bella Trattoria and Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar, but for his next restaurant in Houston, he plans to cook a recipe that is close to his heart. The owner of Bella Restaurants Group will open a fast and relaxed restaurant this fall, ZOA Moroccan Kitchen, inspired by what he grew up eating.
“I started with ZOA Marocain because it is the food of my childhood. The food my grandmother and mother cooked. The food that my brothers and I ate on the street from our farm to school every day. “he said in a press release.
ZOA Cuisine marocaine’s menu will include dishes such as beef tagine sandwiches with spicy green harissa, sweet carrots with cinnamon and grilled beets. The restaurant will be located at 4708 Lillian Street in Rice Military near The Heights, with an opening date scheduled for this fall. This is the first of the three new restaurants expected from the Bella Restaurants Group.
