Raja and Wydad Return to Botola

Casablanca’s two big clubs, Wydad and Raja, are returning to Botola to play late matches. Their opponents, Olympique Khouribga and Moghreb Tetouan, will try to take advantage of their freshness to get a positive result against two “overworked” teams.

Botola resumes this Wednesday with two late games counting for the fourth and sixth rounds. Two big names, Wydad and Raja, are back in the league after playing in the Champions League qualifiers, reports the daily Al Akhbar on December 11.

Wydad, for example, will travel to Khouribga to face Olympique Khouribga, where they will seek to regain their place at the top of the Botola standings after a 0-0 draw against Memelodi Sundowns in the African Champions League last Saturday.

As a result, the match against Olympique Khouribga will allow the Wydad players to regain victory, especially after their exit from the Mohammed VI Cup against Raja.

For his part, Wydad coach Zoran Manojlovic is required to pull out all the stops to reassure, especially in front of Olympique Khouribga which will be looking to take advantage of the red team’s state of mind, which is not in good shape, and get back on track after the change experienced by his technical staff.

In an explosive match, Raja welcomed Moghreb Tetouan to the Mohammed V stadium and plans to relaunch themselves on the Botola with coach Jamal Sellami, who has just led his foals to a precious victory in the cauldron of the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa against Vita club (1-0).

But Raja will face a club from Tetouan, temporarily leading the league, but which has recently suffered a setback against Fath Union Sport Rabat. Moghreb Tetouan coach Angel Eduardo Viadero Odriozola will try to play on the fatigue and excitement of Raja’s players to snatch a victory or at least minimize the damage in Casablanca.
