It deals with the theme of single mothers, through the story of Samia, a young woman who has arrived in Casa from a remote village. The baby she carries in her womb is the result of an extramarital relationship. She will meet Abla, mother of an eight-year-old girl and manager of a Moroccan confectionery shop.

The screenplay for this film was written by Maryam Touzani in collaboration with her husband, director and producer Nabil Ayouch. The roles are played by renowned actors such as Loubna Azabal, Nisrine Erradi, Aziz Hattab, Diae Belkhouda and Hassnaa Tamawi.

The film has been officially selected to participate in the “Un certain regard” section at the Cannes International Film Festival, and has already won 16 awards at prestigious international festivals, just as it has attracted the attention of critics and has been chosen to represent Morocco at this year’s Oscars.
