Senegal: Morocco Guest of Honor at the Kaolack International Trade Fair

Senegal: Morocco will be the guest of honor of the fifth edition of the Kaolack International Trade Fair (FIKA) in Senegal, scheduled from January 25 to February 10, announced the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of this city in the central-western part of the country, Serigne Mboup.

“The choice of Morocco, whose desire is to join the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS), is in line with this year’s theme: The ECOWAS Community market, challenges and prospects,” explained Mboup, quoted by the Senegalese press agency APS.

The Senegalese official announced on this occasion that Guinea has been designated godmother of this edition, a choice which is explained, according to him, by “the desire to encourage better communication between ECOWAS member countries, through a better logistics development and a better transport system”.

He also indicated that more than 30 countries will be represented at the 2020 edition of the FIKA.

According to the Kaolack Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, 700 exhibitors and some 300,000 visitors are expected to be at the FIKA.
