Agadir started the year 2020 with a 3.81% growth in the number of tourists who stayed in various hotels, clubs and tourist residences of this seaside resort.
According to data from the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Agadir-Souss Massa, a total of 78.744 tourists visited Agadir in January 2020, against 75.852 during the same period of 2019.
Nationals are in the lead with a total of 27,092, against 24,301 during January 2019, an increase of 11.49%, according to the same source. French tourists occupy the second position with 16,343 arrivals (+15.68%), followed by Germans (8,374) and British (6,865).
Hotels classified as “4-star” welcomed the largest number of tourists in January, i.e. 21,791, followed by “5-star” hotels (18,398), tourist clubs (14,722) and tourist residences (9,135), the same source concludes.
The occupancy rate recorded in the different classified tourist accommodation establishments in this destination is estimated at 48.41%.
