Cuba Wants to Strengthen its Relations with Morocco

Mr Domokos Ruiz, who was paying a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Habib El Malki, praised Morocco’s leadership in the field of renewable energy, highlighting the great opportunities and multiple possibilities for cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement by the House of Representatives, the new Cuban ambassador highlighted the reforms and changes taking place in his country, stressing his determination to work for more progress between Rabat and Havana.

For his part, Mr. El Malki addressed the strategic orientation of the Kingdom in terms of strengthening South-South cooperation, under the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, recalling the large number of cooperation projects launched by the Sovereign with several African countries, particularly in vital areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, industry and others.

At the parliamentary level, the Speaker of the House of Representatives called for an intensified exchange of visits between parliamentarians of the two countries, extending in this regard an invitation to the Speaker of the Cuban Parliament to make a working visit to Morocco to examine ways of strengthening bilateral relations, the statement concluded.
