“Mi Naima” will be released from Oukacha prison this week after serving her sentence. The Casablanca Court of Appeal had ordered the reduction of the prison sentence imposed on the Moroccan YouTuber.
Initially sentenced to 1 year in prison, the Youtuber will soon be released, after her sentence was reduced on appeal to 3 months in prison.
As a reminder, “Mi Naima”, who had become famous for her cooking recipes, via her channel known as “Mi Naima Al Badaouiya”, had published a video in which she claimed that the new Coronavirus was a mere fabrication. She had also advised her thousands of followers to continue to follow her example and to continue to ” live a normal life “.
The claim of this elderly woman, illiterate and irresponsible, did not fail to provoke a reaction from the National Judicial Police Brigade, and they were quick to arrest her.
