Simon Sibony was born in Casablanca into a Jewish family with a passion for art and music. His father was a singer known not only in Casablanca, but among all the Jews of Morocco. He introduced his son to the love of singing and music. Thus, Simon’s talent was brought out at an early age. However, he had to leave the country to settle in Israel, where Simon lived most of his life.
Simon Sibony managed to establish himself on the artistic scene. He mainly sings opera, but he also masters the Moroccan Jewish Chgouri. He has even revolutionized lyrical singing, incorporating Hebrew passages into classical operatic pieces.
Simon Sibony has performed on the most prestigious stages around the world, including the Tel Aviv Opera where he gave a wonderful concert in November 2008. Today, he lives as a traveler around the world; he offers his fans many concerts in many countries including France, Spain, Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Morocco, etc. He also hosts private ceremonies for the benefit of the great Jewish families who still reside in Morocco. He also participates in certain cultural and artistic events, for example his participation a few years ago in an event organized by Casa Mémoire, which was attended by many members of the Jewish community in Morocco.
