Achraf Hakimi is about to join Inter Milan. A lingering rumour soon to be made official as Zinedine Zidane commented at a press conference.
The 21-year-old Achraf Hakimi has passed his medical check-up and is about to sign for Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan. The player is therefore leaving Real Madrid, his training club. Otherwise, he would have had to live in the shadow of the untouchable Dani Carvajal.
“Hakimi is a good player, he had a good season, but anything can happen in football. There’s a sporting and economic situation. Sometimes you have to make choices,” said Zizou at a press conference on Wednesday 1 July.
Real Madrid are still on the lookout, however. The Casa Blanca has a buy-out priority for the duration of Hakimi’s five-year contract. This means that if the Nerazzurri have a third party bid for Hakimi, Real must be kept informed.
