PanierFrais.ma: The New Online Platform for Fruit and Vegetables

PanierFrais is an e-commerce platform that links Moroccan farmers with the inhabitants of Casablanca. www.panierfrais.ma offers home delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables in less than 24 hours from 99 DHS.

This site favors fresh, local and seasonal products. 99% of the fruits and vegetables offered come from local agriculture, except for a few varieties, which are very much consumed by Moroccan households and which are not cultivated in the country.

In order to guarantee the freshness of the products, the platform adopts a zero stock approach. Supplies are sourced daily from local farmers and orders are kept cool in a cold room until they are shipped the same day. This approach protects the consumer and guarantees the quality of the products “from farm to fork”, in line with the PanierFrais motto.

Concerned about the satisfaction and peace of mind of its customers, this website is the only one that offers a choice of delivery times. This feature optimizes the delivery circuit and helps customers avoid sudden deliveries and unexpected delays. In addition, PanierFrais packs its products with care in order to preserve their quality and to facilitate their storage at the reception desk. The platform also guarantees its customers competitive prices by updating its prices every 48 hours according to market rates.

PanierFrais works on two fronts: “to promote Moroccan consumption by supporting small and medium-sized local farmers and to simplify life in Casablanca by saving them the stress of shopping and offering them considerable time savings,” says Jaafar Belkora, a founding member of the website.

He adds that PanierFrais.ma opts for a short circuit by reducing the intermediaries in an eco-responsible approach and a spirit of solidarity economy. Indeed, this system makes it possible to control the quality of the products, to limit transport and to generate financial benefits for both the farmer and the consumer.

The platform plans to extend its service to other cities in the coming months and develop its offer by proposing products with the “zero waste” label in partnership with agricultural federations according to specifications to better respect the health of consumers.
