Raja Club Athletic took the lead of the Botola Pro D1 football ranking on Saturday, after its victory over Olympic Safi (2-0), in a 20th day delay match.
Abderrahim Achchakir opened the scoring for Sellami’s squad in the 20th minute with a fine free-kick, before his team-mate Sufi Rahimi doubled the lead a few minutes before the end of the first period (45′).
At the end of the game, Raja, by taking the three points of the game, moved up to first position with 39 points. It is now two points ahead of Wydad of Casablanca and three ahead of the Renaissance of Berkane (3rd with 36 pts), while Olympic of Safi stagnates in 13th position (21 pts) tied with Hassania of Agadir. This match, the last of the phase of updates, gives way to the matches of the 21st day which will begin this Monday with the matches Wydad AC – Olympique Club de Khouribga and Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi – Royal Army Club.
