La Liga Honors Moroccan Football Players

LaLiga, the governing board of professional Football in Spain, honored, on Monday, the performances and achievements of Moroccan players who played in the Spanish championship.

In a video of 3’54 min published on the social networks of the body headed by Javier Tebas, LaLiga reviewed the goals and best actions of Moroccan players who have had an influence on the history of Spanish soccer.

With this, LaLiga honored some legendary players who have given a beautiful image on Moroccan, Arab and African soccer. These include the most memorable trio that made the best days of Deportivo La Coruna, Noureddine Naybet “El capitano”, Mustapha Hajji, Salaheddine Bassir, Moha Yaâcoubi, Nabil Baha, Mehdi Carcela, Noureddine Amrabat, and Youssef El Arabi, the historic goalscorer of Granada.

This video also featured the outstanding performances of Achraf Hakimi, the former Real Madrid player transferred this summer to Inter Milan for 40 million euros, Yassine Bounou and Youssef En-Nessyri, Europa League champions with Sevilla, Zouheir Feddal, former Betis defender who will play next season at Sporting Lisbon, and Mounir Mhamdi, best goalkeeper in the Spanish D2 championship with Malaga.

Since the beginning of the Liga, Moroccan players like the “black pearl” Larbi Benbarek (Atletico de Madrid), Abdallah Al Antaki, nicknamed Abdallah Malaga, and Badou Zaki (Real Mallorca), have distinguished themselves in the Spanish league.
