Excerpt from the autobiography of Israeli businessman Nochi Dankner written in prison

His complex relationship with Netanyahu, the increase in debt and the promise that he will return every shekel. Exclusive excerpts from Nochi Dankner’s autobiography written in prison and conversations with people who were with him, both in his great successes and in his crises are revealed.
This is how the great magnate of the country’s history stood up and crashed

“These days I have started to want the prison sentence to be imposed on me. I don’t feel impoverished
and I’m convinced that I will be able to keep busy and make the most of my time. But it is clear that the prison experience is not a pleasant one.
The denial of freedom has gone from a theoretical subject to a tangible confrontation. I am no longer a “master of myself” and my schedules are dictated by others, I receive instructions and orders that I must obey, and of course I am deprived of quality time with the members of my family who are important to me: my wife, my parents, my children and grandchildren. I take care of them. If they are well, they will be fine too. Although I consider myself a strong, optimistic and adaptable person, the challenge is long and not easy.

I do not intend to ask for favours and benefits for any reason, I will make sure I am one of the prisoners even if I have severe limitations to walking due to the serious back problem I suffer from, I will try to be in good energy and joy, without complaints or grievances. My life is so far away”.
