Hadas Golan: evanescences and presences

“Zabriskie Point”: Inbal Mendes Flohr hosts Hadas Golan, Arts Cube Artists Studion, Jerusalem, from June 27th.

Hadas Golan has created a very special world using soft, cottony materials.

These materials are used in subtle installations that play with dream and gender concepts to revise them.

Everything is strange, mysterious, surprising and funny. Human elements of various “colours” gush out of white clouds where everything spills over in a kind of paradise lost or found. The pretences and artifices retain because they renew our appetite to see, to understand a stranger who is often fabricated from scratch (with dolls) but whom Hadas Golan revisits.

There’s nothing holding you back from getting into the picture. It becomes a painting of a particular genre. It jumps to the eyes, throws itself into the dream. So much so that the invisible technical subjugation facilitates access to elsewhere by accentuating the force of creation.
