Alexandra Zuckerman: the unfolding of the possible

Alexandra Zuckerman was born in Moscow. She lives and works in Tel-Aviv where she pursues her work as a visual artist (paintings and drawings) where the world is mysterious.

The narratives are there to, through seemingly realistic arpents, open up to another reality. Hybrid elements are mixed in and require special attention from the viewer.

Opaque doors, enclosed spaces, animal forests (where children get lost) create a world of illusion between dream and reality, as in scenes that are more or less amusing but which are nevertheless not lacking in seriousness.

The artist’s work is recognised not only in Israel but throughout Europe. She has already exhibited in Romania, Stockholm as well as in Berlin, Dusseldorf and Italy and has received numerous awards.

In her fairy tale works, the angles of reality go away, from which she plays with the distance. Apparently nothing comes, nothing goes, but turns through various motives of expectation or uncertainty.

The eye at the tip of your fingertips shatters reality and defies space. Where there is sometimes a white fall at the curvature of the body as at the edge of the disorder for the effusion of the possible. All with modesty. But just the right amount.
