Yehoram Gaon was born in 1939 in the Beit Hakerem district of Jerusalem. In 1957, he was accepted into the Nahal troupe as an actor, where he served alongside Arik Einstein and Gavri Banai. The Nahal group Arik Einstein and Bnei Amdursky have the “Yarkon Bridge Trio”.

In the 1970s, Gaon released 11 records.

In 2015, he received an honorary doctorate from Bar Ilan University. In 2017, he was chosen to light a beacon at the lighting ceremony on the 69th Independence Day of the State of Israel, which marked the anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem.
