CDG Capital strengthens its governance

Since its inception, CDG Capital has been committed to implementing international best practices in corporate governance. Today, CDG Capital is taking a new step by integrating an independent director to its Board of Directors in order to allow the management bodies to benefit from his expertise, to benefit from an enlightened external viewpoint and to enrich the debates in complete independence.

Thus, the Ordinary General Meeting of CDG Capital on December 2, 2020 appointed Thierry Sciard as an independent director.

With his extensive international experience, Mr Sciard has proven expertise in the various segments of capital markets, Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset Management.  Indeed, throughout his career, Mr. Sciard has held senior management positions in several prestigious financial institutions: Bank of America, Citibank, Salomon Smith Barney, Calyon, Lehman Brothers Europe, Fortis Investment and Storm Harbour Partners.

In addition, Sciard, has also served as an independent director on several boards of renowned financial institutions such as: Axa UK Plc, Mizuho International, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services Europe.

Today, Mr Sciard is a member of the Board of Directors of VTB Capital Plc in London and VTB Holdco in Moscow. He is also Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee of VTB Capital Plc and a member of the Risk Committee.

Thierry Sciard attended the CDG Capital Board of Directors meeting of 22 December 2020 and was appointed Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee.
