Moroccan athlete Abdellatif Sadiki was eliminated on Thursday from the semi-final of the 1,500m race at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Sadiki left the competition after finishing 8th in the 2nd heat in 3min 33s and 59/100.
First place went to Kenya’s Abel Kipsang with a time of 3min 31s and 65/100, followed by Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen (3min 32s and 13/100) and Britain’s Josh Kerr in 3min 32s and 18/100.
Sadiki qualified for the 1,500m semi-final on Tuesday after finishing fifth in the first heat in 3min 36s and 23/100.
The 1,500m final will be held on 7 August.
