Hicham Ait Mana of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) was elected president of the Council of the municipality of Mohammedia this Saturday.
He received 31 votes in the voting session of the President of the Council, which has 41 members.
The RNI came out on top in the elections of the Council of the municipality of Mohammedia by winning 17 seats.
The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won seven seats, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), the Alliance of the Left Federation, the Istiqlal Party (PI) and the Justice and Development Party (PJD) won three seats each, while the Constitutional Union won two seats.
The new Democrats (NEO), the People’s Movement (MP), the Environment and Development Party (PED), the United Socialist Party (PSU) and the Democratic Forces Front (FFD) won each seat.
